Diffusion Technician

About the role

NXP is hiring a diffusion technician in Austin. The role covers hands-on work on semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including exposure tools and vacuum systems, and requires strong technical capability and teamwork.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot to board-level repairs
• Ability to work with He leak detectors, RF calibration gear, oscilloscopes and multimeters
• Ability to understand vacuum systems, gas control systems and high-pressure systems
• Understanding of electrical and electronics theory
• One of the following: a two-year associate degree, a technical certification from an accredited institution, 2 of 4 years toward a bachelor's degree, a non-technical bachelor's degree with 2+ years of technical experience, 5+ years of technical experience, or a military technical school with 3+ years of technical experience

Required skills

• Experience on multiple chamber types on equipment such as TEL 8SE, 8SEI, AVP, Wafer Mark Laser Scribe, Gemini, Comet MTU and LPCVD
• Ability and willingness to learn and support additional toolsets
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
