Diesel Mechanic – Up to $36.50/hr, Full-Time

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for its Kansas City, KS Service Center. The position is full‑time and offers up to $36.50 per hour. You will work on a variety of fleet equipment, ensuring reliable operation of Class 8 trucks, trailers and related machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, forklifts and related equipment.
• Maintain ancillary systems such as overhead doors, lift gates, dollies and perform welding tasks as required.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Class A CDL holder with experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and possess personal tools.

Required skills

• Diesel engine preventive maintenance and major repairs.
• Air‑conditioning and electrical system troubleshooting.
• Experience using the Cetaris work‑order system.
• Welding and basic metal‑fabrication.
