Diesel Mechanic – Full-Time in Farmington

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for its Farmington, MN Service Center. The role involves maintaining a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers and related equipment, ensuring reliable operation and safety. You will work full‑time on‑site, performing both preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, forklifts and related equipment.
• Maintain ancillary systems such as overhead doors, lift gates, dollies and perform welding tasks as required.
• Use the Cetaris system to create, track and close work orders efficiently.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in diesel engine maintenance, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Ability to handle major repairs, AC and electrical system work, and lift at least 50 lb.
• Own set of tools and a valid Class A CDL with experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks.

Required skills

• Preventive maintenance on diesel engines.
• Major diesel engine repair, including AC and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with Cetaris work‑order software.
