Diesel Mechanic – 3rd Shift (Syracuse, NY)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Diesel Mechanic to join our Syracuse Service Center on the 3rd shift (1:00 am – 11:30 am, Monday‑Friday). The position offers a competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers and occasional forklifts.
• Maintain related equipment such as overhead doors, lift gates, dollies and perform welding tasks as needed.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, air‑conditioning and electrical systems.
• Complete work orders using the Cetaris system and ensure all documentation is accurate.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably with Class 8 equipment.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lb and possess personal tools.
• Experience with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Familiarity with trailer preventative‑maintenance procedures.
