Diesel Mechanic – 3rd Shift (12am‑10:30am)

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join its Piedmont, SC Service Center on the 3rd shift. You will perform day‑to‑day maintenance and repairs on a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance on diesel engines, including Cummins and Detroit models.
• Diagnose and repair major mechanical, electrical, and air‑conditioning issues.
• Perform trailer inspections, lift‑gate maintenance, and minor welding tasks.
• Utilize Cetaris software to manage work orders and track repairs.
• Maintain service tools and ensure a safe, organized work environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with Class 8 trucks.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and work independently on a 3rd‑shift schedule.
• Own set of professional tools.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
