About the role
The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist (PRN) provides on‑call imaging services in the MUSL Ambulatory setting. This temporary, fixed‑term position supports patient care by delivering high‑quality diagnostic radiographs during day shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Perform radiographic examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Ensure patient safety and proper positioning while adhering to radiation protection standards.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Document procedures and image acquisition accurately in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff to optimize patient care.
Required profile
- Current or former employee of the University of Arkansas System (including student employees and graduate assistants) who can access Workday to apply.
- Valid state license as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
- Ability to work on an as‑needed (PRN) basis during day shifts.
Required skills
- Operation of diagnostic radiology equipment.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and patient positioning.
- Proficiency in image acquisition and documentation.
