DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & CI/CD

About the role

Scout Motors is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help build and operate the cloud platform that powers its next‑generation electric trucks and SUVs. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure using modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Support the design, implementation, and operation of CI/CD pipelines for agile software delivery.
• Build and operate container orchestration environments, specifically Amazon EKS/Kubernetes.
• Develop automation scripts and tooling to reduce manual toil and increase system reliability.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for proactive issue detection.
• Collaborate with development and systems integration teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, incident response, and post‑incident reviews.
• Work with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Contribute to the internal developer portal to improve the developer experience.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Proficiency in IaC methodologies.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with container orchestration (EKS/Kubernetes).
• Ability to write automation scripts.
• Knowledge of monitoring, alerting, and logging tools.
• Understanding of security and compliance requirements.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call duties.
