Device / Process Integration Engineer

About the role

NXP is hiring a Device / Process Integration Engineer for its Austin facility, first shift and full time. The role owns each product from the starting substrate through wafer test, covering sustaining, disposition, troubleshooting, yield enhancement and New Product Introduction. It calls for a strong technical background in semiconductor device physics and process integration.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with Product Engineering teams to introduce new products into manufacturing quickly.
• Drive yield and cost benefits on existing products through process integration enhancements, defect reduction and performance improvements.
• Monitor electrical device operation to ensure conformance to quality standards and engineering specifications.
• Lead and support cross-functional factory teams to improve efficiency and quality, and to contain and resolve factory excursions and customer returns.
• Present issues and solutions clearly to cross-functional audiences and respond quickly to operational problems.

Required profile

• BS degree required, ideally in Electrical or Chemical engineering or a similar science-based degree; MS preferred.
• Experience in device or process engineering or similar technical work preferred.
• Good planning, organizational, teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

• Design of Experiments and Statistical Process Control.
• Working knowledge of Excel, JMP, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong data analysis, troubleshooting and communication skills.
