Developmental Technician – General Facilities Maintenance

About the role

Walmart is seeking Developmental Technicians to support the safety, functionality, and appearance of its retail locations. Working under the guidance of the local General Maintenance Manager, you will perform inspections, cleaning, and repairs across a variety of store assets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, material handling equipment, and food equipment to complete work orders.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and document all repair activities in the work order management system.
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required safety and equipment training.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, work on ladders, and operate at heights.
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures and stand or sit for extended periods.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean record and ability to pass an MVR report.
