Development Manager – Fundraising & Partnerships

About the role

exalt is seeking a Development Manager to lead and coordinate fundraising activities across individual, foundation, corporate and government streams. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy and working closely with the CEO, the role will ensure funder relationships are advanced and the organization’s growth objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Research and prepare briefing materials for meetings with donors, foundations, corporate partners and government funders.
• Partner with senior leadership to plan, prioritize and sequence funder engagement activities.
• Lead timely follow‑up after meetings, drafting communications, sharing materials and defining next steps.
• Maintain and advance a comprehensive funding pipeline, identifying cross‑cutting opportunities and analyzing trends.
• Track all funder activity in real‑time using Salesforce and develop reports and dashboards to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strategic thinker who can translate data and trends into actionable fundraising plans.
• Excellent communicator, able to support senior leaders in high‑impact engagements.
• Experience in nonprofit fundraising or development preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce for donor management and reporting.
