Design Associate / Design Staff I

About the role

Dietz & Company Architects is seeking a motivated Design Associate/Design Staff I to join its Cambridge, MA office. The role offers hands‑on involvement in community‑focused projects across multiple sectors, from multi‑family housing to historic preservation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concept diagrams, renderings, and informational graphics for client presentations.
• Produce and refine floor plans, sections, and elevations under the guidance of project architects.
• Research and specify products and materials for project use.
• Document site conditions and support construction administration, including responding to RFIs and preparing supplemental sketches.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in an architecture design firm.
• Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Authorization to work in the United States without future visa sponsorship.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Revit.
• Working knowledge of SketchUp.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
