Deployment Intern – IT Summer Projects (Paid)

About the role

The Deployment Intern supports project teams across Logistics, Staging, Imaging, and Field departments during IT summer projects. Working under the guidance of a Project Lead and Department Manager, the intern will assist with equipment handling, tracking, and basic deployment tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Follow project guidelines and departmental procedures to complete assigned tasks on time.
• Perform light cleaning, labeling, imaging, moving, packing, and tracking of computer equipment.
• Load and unload equipment from trucks using pallet jacks and other non‑powered warehouse tools.
• Use barcode scanners to update spreadsheets and tracking applications.
• Assist other departments and additional deployments as directed by deployment management.

Required profile

• Highly punctual, dependable, and detail‑oriented.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to perform repetitive manual labor, including lifting up to 35 lb unassisted and up to 90 lb assisted.
• Pass background check, fingerprint, drug screen; valid Texas driver’s license may be required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with SharePoint (preferred).
• Experience with barcode scanners and basic computer hardware handling (preferred).
