About the role
As a Department Manager at Zara, you will lead a sales section, ensuring the commercial strategy is executed while maintaining an attractive image that matches the client profile. You will combine product, fashion and trend knowledge with analytical and organisational capabilities to drive sales and optimise the store layout.
Key responsibilities
- Control stock and manage the section to achieve sales objectives.
- Review new arrivals, allocate locations and coordinate store/warehouse rotations.
- Communicate with other managers to ensure a unified client image across the business.
- Supervise product replenishment and merchandising, including walls, mannequins, tables and shop‑window displays.
- Provide continuous feedback to the general manager and the team.
- Conduct product and commercial analysis to identify gaps, competition and trends and implement actions to improve results.
- Ensure customer service standards are met and resolve incidents.
- Minimise shrinkage and execute action plans for store needs.
- Organise and train the sales team, identify new talent and give constructive feedback.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and occupational risk regulations.
Required profile
- Proven leadership ability to inspire and organise a sales team.
- Strong knowledge of fashion products, social media trends and customer expectations.
- Analytical mindset for interpreting stock, sales and market reports.
- Excellent communication and collaboration with other managers.
- Commitment to customer service excellence and safety standards.
