Deal Strategy Finance Lead

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a senior professional to lead deal strategy and finance functions that will scale revenue and support rapid growth. The role sits at the intersection of finance, sales, legal and compliance, ensuring complex deals are structured, approved and executed with financial discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct growth, margin and discount impact analyses and build profitability models for enterprise deals.
• Partner with sales teams to design deal structures that meet customer needs while protecting Anthropic’s financial and strategic interests.
• Review and approve non‑standard enterprise agreements, focusing on pricing, contract terms and financial implications.
• Serve as the primary liaison across sales, finance, legal and compliance throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Identify and assess risks in atypical deal terms and escalate to senior leadership as needed.
• Develop and maintain deal‑approval policies, pricing guidelines and exception handling procedures.
• Create and refine approval workflows, escalation processes and standardized templates for efficient deal processing.
• Maintain comprehensive deal documentation and produce regular reports on deal strategy metrics and trends.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in deal strategy, deal desk, finance, sales strategy or related analytical roles, preferably in a high‑growth technology environment.
• Proven ability to build sophisticated financial models, conduct pricing optimization and structure complex transactions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills with a track record of cross‑functional coordination.
• Detail‑oriented with strong instincts for process improvement and designing scalable workflows.
• Comfortable working in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments while maintaining rigorous financial discipline.
