About the role

Join the Technology and Operations Division of Gwinnett Technical College as a Database Administrator Jr. This full‑time, benefitted position supports the Ellucian Banner Student Information System and other critical databases.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the senior DBA with day‑to‑day operations, patches, upgrades, and integration of third‑party solutions into the Banner SIS.
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, and scripts (Linux Shell, PowerShell, Ansible) for data analysis, extraction, and database builds.
• Manage multiple projects, prepare timelines and reports, and act as liaison between internal and external customers.
• Provide user training, technical assistance, and generate scheduled and ad‑hoc reports.

Required profile

• Certificate or Associate degree in a related field with at least 1 year of DBMS design, implementation and support experience (Oracle, Microsoft SQL, etc.).
• Experience with Ellucian Banner SIS, Linux, and SQL.
• Ability to manage multiple time‑sensitive projects and work with minimal supervision.
