Data Specialist II (eDiscovery)

About the role

Amentum is hiring a Data Specialist II for an eDiscovery-related position. The role covers hands-on file manipulation, loading and conversion of electronic files, quality checks and data exports, working with litigation support applications and review platforms. It is an hourly, overtime-eligible position under the Service Contract Act.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands-on file manipulation, loading and data conversion services
• Create and modify files for upload into Relativity or other review platforms and convert native files individually
• Develop, evaluate and modify file-handling methodologies and procedures for COTS products and litigation support applications
• Ensure data loading, manipulation and conversion are accurate by performing and documenting quality and accuracy checks
• Make sure incoming productions follow ESI specifications and notify senior contractor IT staff of deficiencies
• Export data from databases, confirm redactions and markups, ensure exports meet ESI specifications and quality-check the exports

Required profile

• Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) facility credentials; US citizenship is required for MRPT at this location
• At least two years of experience in eDiscovery roles such as electronic file processing, image and data file conversion, data culling, quality assurance, database loads and retrieval and data analysis
• Knowledge of the litigation discovery process and the EDRM workflow
• Preferred: undergraduate degree, preferably in computer science or a related field

Required skills

• Experience with IPRO, Relativity or other document processing platforms
• Knowledge of government IT environments, including office automation networks, PC and server-based applications (preferred)
• Working knowledge of Windows, document review software and encryption methods
