About the role
Anthropic is seeking an early‑member Data Scientist for its Safeguards team. You will help build a data‑driven culture that informs product and commercial strategy, ensuring AI systems are safe, reliable, and beneficial.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze user behavior data to surface safety concerns and generate actionable insights.
- Define, track, and forecast core metrics that measure team and product success.
- Identify product improvement opportunities and influence the roadmap with data‑backed recommendations.
- Design and run controlled experiments, interpret results, and advise on impact to key metrics.
- Establish foundational data best practices and improve data accessibility across the organization.
Required profile
- Bias for action and urgency, avoiding perfectionism that stalls progress.
- Comfort thriving in ambiguous environments and creating clarity.
- Strong curiosity and energy for tackling hard questions.
- Excellent written communication and presentation abilities.
- Passion for building helpful, honest, and harmless AI.
