Data Scientist, GTM

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a Data Scientist to join its Go‑to‑Market (GTM) team. You will drive data‑informed decisions across the commercial customer lifecycle, turning complex sales and usage data into actionable strategy for a rapidly scaling AI platform.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain core GTM metrics, measurement frameworks, and reporting dashboards.
• Analyze commercial and user data to surface insights, size opportunities, and influence product and GTM roadmaps.
• Design and execute rigorous causal‑inference studies, including controlled experiments and synthetic controls.
• Investigate anomalies, perform root‑cause analyses, and provide data‑driven recommendations.
• Build statistical models, optimization tools, and simulations to automate commercial decision‑making.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including GTM leadership.
• Help establish foundational data practices and scale analytics infrastructure for rapid product iteration.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools.
• Expertise in experimental design, causal inference, statistical modeling, and A/B testing in high‑scale environments.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and business audiences.
• Strong written communication and presentation skills.
• Comfort working in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments and creating structure where none exists.
