Data Center Vertical Marketing Manager

About the role

Join 3M as a Data Center Vertical Marketing Manager and lead the global marketing strategy for the company’s Data Center growth ambitions, focusing on Expanded Beam Optical (EBO) solutions. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to shape messaging, drive demand, and tell compelling customer stories.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the global Data Center vertical marketing plan, translating business priorities into integrated campaigns, content, events, and executive engagement.
• Develop internal enablement tools such as briefs, FAQs, email templates, and talk tracks to support sales and customer‑facing teams.
• Partner with Business and Product Leaders to define messaging, positioning, value propositions, and buying‑group strategies across cloud, colocation, network OEMs, and system integrators.
• Manage the end‑to‑end customer journey across web, digital, events, sales, and channel touchpoints, identifying gaps and prioritising improvements.
• Lead Data Center event and thought‑leadership strategy, securing executive and SME visibility at industry trade shows and conferences.
• Set demand‑generation targets, track ROI, and use analytics to steer investment and demonstrate measurable growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in vertical or product marketing, preferably within data center, technology, or related industries.
• Strong ability to collaborate with global teams including Sales, Product Marketing, Integrated Marketing, and Field & Channel Marketing.
• Excellent communication skills for crafting messaging, executive presentations, and customer storytelling.
• Analytical mindset with experience setting and measuring demand‑generation KPIs.
