Data Analyst

About the role

Amentum is looking for a Data Analyst to explore complex datasets, uncover insights and help clients make informed decisions. The role works on projects that directly influence client outcomes and drives business success. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with flexible time, comp time and an extended work week option.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare regular and ad hoc performance reports
• Create documents, databases, reports and presentations as required
• Support the Sponsor's business analytics stakeholders
• Apply AI and ML techniques to unstructured data sets
• Use statistical techniques to build models from enterprise data warehouses and/or data lakes
• Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and ideas

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a strongly quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Information Systems, Computational Linguistics)
• Strong background in data analysis and understanding of SQL principles
• Experience in programming languages such as Python, R or similar
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks and travel as needed
• US citizenship, and must pass a drug test, background check and motor vehicle records check
• Preferred: Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics or Mathematics
