Data Analyst (Excel) – Remote Contractor

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Data Analyst who will work remotely on a contract basis. The analyst will use Microsoft Excel to turn raw data into clear insights that support decision‑making across multiple teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in‑depth data analysis using Excel to extract actionable insights.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into analyses.
• Review, clean, and validate datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Create concise reports and visualisations for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Identify trends, anomalies and opportunities within complex data sets.
• Document methodologies, results and recommendations with meticulous attention to detail.
• Support the customer’s team in enhancing data‑driven decision processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience performing data analysis in a business environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data processing and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Experience in fast‑paced, data‑driven organisations.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, formulas and data‑visualisation features.
