Cybersecurity Engineer (Threat Intelligence)

About the role

Amentum is hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer to support its U.S. Department of Energy contract. The position is based in the Washington, D.C. area on a 5-day, 8-hour work schedule. The engineer delivers threat intelligence on hostile nation-states, cyber adversaries and criminals targeting U.S. energy sector partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of Cyber Intelligence (CI) services, delivering timely, actionable and relevant threat intelligence on hostile nation-states, cyber adversaries and criminals seeking to harm U.S. energy sector partners.
• Support the Authority to Operate (ATO) packages and continuous monitoring.

Required profile

• 5 to 12+ years designing, implementing or securing enterprise IT and operational technology environments.
• Active TS/SCI or DOE Q security clearance required.

Required skills

• Cloud security, Zero Trust, RMF and NIST 800-53.
• Endpoint security, vulnerability management and system hardening.
• Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, Azure Security or AWS Security, or equivalent.
