Customer Business Operations Specialist I

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering, is looking for a Customer Business Operations (CBO) Specialist I to support strategic customer accounts across North America and Europe. The role coordinates demand planning, delivery execution, contract administration, and revenue‑related processes while working closely with sales, finance, and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support customer demand planning and delivery management for assigned accounts, coordinating with sales, business management, WWOPS, and order management.
• Monitor demand changes, forecast updates, and operational impacts, communicating risks to stakeholders.
• Identify and communicate delivery, contractual, and revenue risks; assist in mitigation planning and issue escalation.
• Facilitate execution of customer agreements, working with legal, finance, tax, and order management to ensure accurate documentation.
• Collaborate across functions on projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and customer experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1‑3 years in sales operations, customer business operations, order management, revenue operations, supply chain, or related functions.
• Experience supporting customer‑facing operational processes in a cross‑functional environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with operational reporting tools.
