About the role
The Indialantic Elementary School is seeking a reliable Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This full‑time, 12‑month position involves routine housekeeping, grounds care, and equipment upkeep across the school campus.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas, ensuring all surfaces are sanitary and presentable.
- Maintain school grounds, including litter removal, lawn care, and minor landscaping tasks.
- Operate and service maintenance equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and power tools.
- Apply chemicals safely according to guidelines and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
Required profile
- Demonstrated general knowledge of maintenance equipment used on the job.
- Valid Florida driver’s license.
- Ability to perform heavy manual work and lift up to 100 lb occasionally.
