Custodian – Campus Cleaning Positions

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking multiple custodians to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environments across its campus facilities. This entry‑level position supports daily operations in classrooms, offices, auditoriums, residence halls, dining areas, and other university spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of classrooms, lecture halls, conference rooms, and office spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident halls, dining facilities, and common areas.
• Dust, mop, sweep, and vacuum floors; empty trash receptacles.
• Ensure restrooms and sanitary stations are stocked and sanitized.
• Assist with event‑related cleanup, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Report maintenance issues and follow safety protocols.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work the 5:30 am – 2:00 pm shift with rotating weekends and flexible coverage for campus events.
• Six months of general cleaning experience preferred.
• Prior experience on a college campus is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
