About the role
The Custodian will ensure a clean, safe, and positive environment at Indialantic Elementary School. This full‑time, 12‑month position involves routine housekeeping, domestic tasks, and grounds work under close supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the school building and surrounding grounds.
- Perform routine housekeeping, domestic tasks, and gardening duties.
- Operate and maintain various maintenance equipment.
- Apply chemicals correctly and follow safety procedures.
- Follow specific instructions from supervisors and ensure work meets inspection standards.
Required profile
- General knowledge of maintenance equipment used on the job.
- Valid Florida driver’s license.
- Physical ability to perform heavy manual work, including lifting up to 100 lb occasionally.
- Ability to work under close supervision and follow established routines.
Required skills
- Knowledge of chemicals and proper usage.
- Operation of maintenance and cleaning equipment.
