Culinary Arts Adjunct Instructor – Part‑Time

About the role

The Georgia Northwestern Technical College seeks a qualified Culinary Arts Adjunct Instructor for its Floyd County Campus. This part‑time position involves on‑site classroom teaching, curriculum development, and occasional travel to other campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Develop program and course outlines, goals, and objectives for credited technical/occupational courses.
• Prepare lesson plans, deliver classroom instruction, and evaluate student progress.
• Maintain program certification requirements and prepare required documentation and reports.
• Ensure safety and security standards in the training area.
• Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts.
• Five years of food‑service experience or two years of supervisory/management experience in food service.
• Industry certification related to teaching (e.g., ServSafe certified with the National Restaurant Association).
• Preferred: American Culinary Federation certification (C.C.E., C.E.C., or C.E.P.C.) and post‑secondary teaching experience.
