CT Technologist (PRN) – Baptist Facility

About the role

The CT Technologist (PRN) provides patient assessments and safely performs routine computed tomography procedures following radiation safety protocols. The role also includes mentoring junior staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and ensure accurate procedure execution.
• Operate CT equipment independently, including IV placement, and produce diagnostic‑quality images.
• Review images before transmission and perform quality‑control checks.
• Assist with departmental operations such as inventory, scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
• Explain procedures to patients, adapt communication to diverse patient populations, and maintain patient privacy.

Required profile

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration or eligibility (CT certification preferred) within 90 days of hire.
• Current unrestricted state license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating computed tomography (CT) equipment.
• Use of radiology information systems and related software.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ARRT certification or eligibility for CT specialization.
