Credentialing Coordinator

About the role

The Credentialing Coordinator supports the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences by managing credentialing activities for clinical staff. This temporary, fixed‑term position ensures that all providers meet regulatory and institutional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, verify, and maintain credentialing documentation for physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.
• Coordinate primary source verification and track expiration dates.
• Collaborate with departmental leaders, the medical staff office, and external credentialing bodies.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate records in credentialing databases.
• Assist with audits and respond to regulatory inquiries.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in health administration preferred.
• Experience in medical credentialing or health‑care administration.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse clinical teams.
