About the role

Mastercard is seeking an experienced lawyer to join its global Optimization product team. The role is part of a highly agile environment that builds innovative payment solutions and helps customers unlock the full potential of Mastercard’s offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic and proactive legal advice to the Optimization team and internal stakeholders.
• Support the identification, development, and distribution of new products and solutions.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, strategy, governance, data & analytics, commercialization, distribution, and fintech teams.
• Engage at both tactical and strategic levels to address legal and business challenges.

Required profile

• Curious, self‑motivated lawyer with a strong interest in technology and payments.
• Extensive transactional experience and sound business/legal judgment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with a diverse workload.
• Proven track record of delivering pragmatic legal guidance.
