Corporate Counsel II – Mission Systems

About the role

Northrop Grumman seeks an experienced Corporate Counsel II to support its Mission Systems sector. The role involves providing legal guidance on a wide range of government and commercial contracts while collaborating with internal business and legal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Counsel on the pursuit, capture, negotiation, execution, and administration of U.S. Government and commercial prime contracts and sub‑contracts.
• Advise on intellectual property, environmental, health & safety, real estate, human resources, internal investigations, supply chain, export/import compliance, litigation, and employment‑labor matters.
• Coordinate with specialists across the organization to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation.
• Travel up to 10% of the time as required.

Required profile

• Juris Doctorate and active state bar membership.
• Minimum 10 years of U.S. Government contracting experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Experience in government or commercial contracting within a law firm, agency, or in‑house legal department.
• Strong analytical, judgment, and communication skills.
