Controller – Finance Leader for Manufacturing & Distribution

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on finance leader to serve as Controller for a fast‑growing manufacturing and distribution business. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will shape financial processes, improve performance visibility, and support scalable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarterly, and year‑end close activities.
• Deliver GAAP‑compliant financial reporting and KPI‑driven insights.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management, and audit readiness.
• Oversee governance and performance of an India‑based shared services accounting team.
• Drive inventory accounting, cost analysis, and margin‑improvement initiatives.
• Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, and executive leadership.
• Optimize ERP systems and automate processes for scale.
• Manage three local direct reports and a team of ten in India.

Required profile

• CPA certification.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role.
• Strong background in mid‑size manufacturing and/or distribution.
• Experience with private‑equity environments is a plus.
