Contracts Manager – DoD/Federal Contracts

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the full lifecycle of Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal contracts. You will work closely with internal teams and government customers to ensure compliant, risk‑aware contract execution while supporting the company’s growth in autonomous maritime solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire contract lifecycle for DoD/federal contracts, from pre‑award review through negotiation, award, modifications, performance monitoring, and close‑out.
• Interpret, review, and negotiate complex contract terms, with deep knowledge of Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), FAR, DFARS, and related procurement regulations.
• Provide strategic contract advice and risk‑mitigation guidance to program leadership and business development teams.
• Serve as the primary liaison with government customers and contracting officers.
• Monitor contract performance and compliance, tracking deliverables, milestones, costs, schedules, change orders, invoices, and quality requirements; promptly escalate issues.
• Support business development by contributing contract strategy, pricing considerations, terms review, and risk assessments to capture teams.
• Stay current on changes to procurement regulations and recommend updates to internal contracting policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s or MBA is a plus.
• 5+ years of contract management experience within a defense/federal contractor environment or DoD.
• Demonstrated knowledge of contract types and federal acquisition regulations.
• Proven track record of negotiating, administering, modifying, and closing multi‑year DoD/federal contracts.
• Strong understanding of data rights and intellectual property issues in contracts.
• Excellent analytical and financial acumen to review cost/price proposals, assess risk, and monitor performance.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
