About the role
The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund – Pension Administration is seeking a Contracts Management Officer to join the Sourcing Coordination Unit of the Business Support Section. Reporting to the Chief of the unit, the officer will support the Fund’s acquisition planning and contract administration to ensure effective delivery of organizational objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and administer contracts within an assigned portfolio, monitoring implementation, performance, compliance, and delivery of contractual outputs.
- Prepare and review procurement and contract documents such as statements of work, terms of reference, technical specifications, evaluation criteria, and requisitions.
- Provide guidance to business units and technical stakeholders throughout the procurement and contract lifecycle, resolving acquisition‑related issues.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of the UNJSPF acquisition plan, considering sourcing strategies, procurement methods, market conditions, inventory needs, and operational requirements.
- Analyze demand plans, budget forecasts, consumption trends, and procurement activities to improve acquisition planning and resource utilization.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing standard operating procedures, internal controls, guidelines, and instructions related to acquisition planning, procurement, requisitioning, and contract management.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on procurement activities and contract administration.
Required profile
- Experience in contract management, procurement, or acquisition planning within an international or public‑sector environment.
- Ability to work under delegated authority and manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills for demand and budget analysis.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities to support business units and external partners.
