Contingent Worker – Research Visiting Student

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Contingent Worker to join the College of Nursing Tai Chi Research team as a Visiting Student. Working under Dr. Jocelyn Anderson, the role provides hands‑on experience in all phases of health‑related research.

Key responsibilities

• Develop research questions and design study protocols.
• Draft, submit, and manage Institutional Review Board (IRB) documentation.
• Coordinate regulatory processes and ensure compliance.
• Manage lab outreach, participant recruitment, and retention activities.
• Collect, organize, and manage research data.
• Perform data analysis and contribute to results interpretation.
• Prepare and disseminate findings through reports, presentations, or publications.

Required profile

• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Full COVID‑19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption.
• Commitment to UAMS policies on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
