Construction Superintendent – Norfolk Naval Shipyard

About the role

AECOM CS Federal is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on‑site activities for a major project at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. You will be the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day construction operations, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall on‑site administrative and technical management for multiple construction disciplines.
• Maintain control of the site, subcontractors, and compliance with safety protocols.
• Interpret and apply CPM schedules, plan work weeks ahead, and monitor milestone completion.
• Identify constructability concerns early, propose solutions, and keep production efficient.
• Produce accurate daily reports, RFIs, and logs; communicate issues in real time with project management.
• Build trust with crews and subcontractors while enforcing AECOM/CS Federal policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant construction management experience.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and U.S. citizenship.
