Construction Superintendent

About the role

DPR Construction is looking for an experienced Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects in our core markets, including life sciences, healthcare, higher education, corporate office, and advanced technology. The role is 100% on‑site with weekly travel to the Monroe, LA project location.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee, manage, and mentor assistant superintendents.
• Create and update construction schedules, monitor logic relationships, and integrate new activities.
• Coordinate jobsite logistics and maintain relationships with neighboring occupants.
• Negotiate with authorities to achieve occupancy milestones.
• Lead DPR’s injury‑free safety program.
• Coordinate subcontractor scopes, scheduling, and resource loading alongside self‑perform crews.
• Develop foremen for future superintendent roles.
• Serve as primary field operations interface with owners and design teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience, preferably in DPR’s core markets.
• Strong communication, listening, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, flexible, and able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Team‑player with a strong work ethic and “can‑do” attitude.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with project management software such as Prolog or similar.
• Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera or similar.
