Construction Superintendent

About the role

The Construction Superintendent leads all aspects of home‑building projects for View Homes, ensuring compliance with quality standards, local building codes, budgets, and schedules while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect every home daily, verifying work against plans and communicating any issues to the appropriate department.
• Maintain job‑site cleanliness, safety, and SWPPP compliance.
• Oversee municipal and internal quality inspections and ensure timely completion of all required paperwork.
• Update daily progress in BuildPro, approve subcontractor work, track material deliveries, and manage scheduling.
• Redline architectural changes and coordinate with the Area Construction Manager.
• Provide written feedback on trade contractor performance to the Purchasing Department.
• Identify inefficiencies, document variances, and drive corrective actions.
• Participate in weekly meetings with sales representatives and customers to address concerns.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising residential construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes, construction standards, and SWPPP requirements.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, contracts, and insurance specifications.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and team leadership.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BuildPro construction management software.
• Understanding of SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan) standards.
• Expertise in construction code compliance and blueprint interpretation.
• Experience conducting municipal and internal quality inspections.
