Construction Project Manager – Data Center (Hampton, GA)

About the role

The Data Center Construction Project Manager leads planning, execution, and delivery of mission‑critical data‑center projects in Hampton, GA. Acting as the client’s representative, the role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct overall program management and financial performance from pre‑construction through commissioning and turnover.
• Serve as Owner’s Representative, overseeing general contractors, design consultants, utility providers and equipment vendors.
• Manage all project phases: planning, design coordination, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, occupancy readiness and close‑out.
• Oversee mission‑critical MEP infrastructure including electrical distribution, UPS, generators, cooling, fire protection, security, BMS and EPMS platforms.
• Coordinate installation, testing and integration of critical systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and uptime requirements.
• Lead commissioning activities such as FAT, SAT and Integrated Systems Testing, and produce final turnover documentation.
• Monitor contractor performance, safety compliance, schedule adherence and budget performance, and mitigate risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 10 years construction project management experience, with at least 5 years delivering data‑center or mission‑critical projects.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale projects valued at $25 M +.
• Valid driver’s license; PMP certification preferred; LEED AP and mission‑critical commissioning certifications strongly preferred.
