Construction Operations Manager – Orange County/Los Angeles

About the role

Erickson-Hall Construction Co., an employee‑owned general contractor specializing in public works and educational projects, is seeking a Construction Operations Manager for its Orange County and Los Angeles operations. The role will lead field operations, coordinate with project management and drive company strategy to deliver safe, on‑time, and high‑quality construction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee multiple regional projects, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality compliance.
• Allocate resources, select subcontractors, and manage staffing for project success.
• Conduct monthly health check‑ins to monitor schedules, financial forecasts, and subcontractor performance.
• Coordinate with estimating, purchasing, and design teams to transition work from pre‑construction to field.
• Enforce safety programs and promote quality assurance/quality control standards.
• Serve as liaison between field teams and senior management, reporting performance metrics.
• Develop high‑performance teams through supervision, training, mentoring, and coaching of Project Executives, Managers, and Superintendents.
• Identify operational risks, propose process improvements, and implement policy changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred.
• 10–15 years of progressive construction operations experience.
• Proven leadership managing Project Managers, Superintendents and subcontractors.
• Strong influencing, collaboration and buy‑in generation abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
