Construction Foreman II – Lake Charles, LA

About the role

The Construction Foreman II will support Louisiana Bridge Builders on the I‑10 Calcasieu River Bridge project and related highway reconstruction in Lake Charles, LA. This onsite role involves planning, organizing, managing, and participating in daily field activities to ensure safe and efficient project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Directly supervise and coordinate crew activities, performing trade work when needed.
• Prepare and maintain accurate reports for the Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development and the developer.
• Track job quantities, timesheets, daily management reports, and equipment performance data.
• Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations, company policies, OSHA standards, and environmental requirements.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns or emergencies, mobilizing resources and implementing corrective actions.
• Assist with contractual compliance, scope verification, and safety/environmental programs.
• Hire, train, motivate, and lead a high‑performing team, handling performance reviews and personnel actions.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and consumables to prevent operational interruptions.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising construction crews on large infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and environmental compliance.
• Ability to prepare and manage detailed project reports and documentation.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

Required skills

• Computer literacy for reporting and data analysis.
