Compliance Contracts Manager

About the role

Erickson‑Hall Construction Co. is seeking a Compliance Contracts Manager to oversee contract standards and risk review across its projects. Based in Escondido, CA, you will ensure consistent contracting practices and manage construction‑related insurance coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and periodically update the company’s master subcontract and related exhibits.
• Review project‑specific subcontract language, flow‑down provisions, and special conditions for compliance with company standards and prime contract obligations.
• Approve or negotiate subcontractor mark‑ups and insurance variances within delegated authority.
• Identify and flag contract provisions that create unusual obligations, gaps, or heightened risk.
• Coordinate company‑wide construction‑phase insurance coverage, track policy information, and resolve insurance documentation issues.

Required profile

• Experience administering or reviewing construction contracts, preferably for a commercial general contractor.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of insurance certificates, bonding, contractor licensing, and compliance documentation.
• Ability to evaluate contract language in the context of project operations and communicate risks clearly.
