Community Manager – Southwest

About the role

The Community Manager oversees day‑to‑day operations of an 87‑unit stabilized property in Newport Beach. You will lead the on‑site team, ensure financial targets are met, and maintain compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, and other regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage budgeting, rent collection, invoicing, and monthly financial reporting to meet revenue goals.
• Supervise staff hiring, training, performance management, and daily activities.
• Oversee lease administration, resident screening, renewals, evictions, and fee collection.
• Conduct regular property inspections and ensure maintenance standards, safety, and appearance are upheld.
• Develop and execute marketing and leasing strategies to achieve occupancy targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Real Estate or related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience, including 1–2 years as a Community Manager with affordable‑housing exposure.
• Strong communication, conflict‑resolution and customer‑service abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a golf cart on‑site.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property‑management software (Entrata, Yardi, OneSite).
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word.
• Database and spreadsheet management capabilities.
• All state and local licenses/certifications required for property management in California.
