Community Manager (Senior Housing)

About the role

The Community Manager leads daily operations of an Active Adult community, ensuring exceptional resident experiences, strong financial performance and full regulatory compliance for residents aged 55+.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to resident concerns, resolve disputes and enforce community rules and lease policies.
• Prepare and review financial reports, manage rent collection, accounts payable/receivable and drive NOI through rent growth and expense control.
• Lead the onsite team: hiring, onboarding, training, performance management and daily coaching.
• Oversee leasing activities, conduct community tours, and achieve occupancy and revenue targets.
• Coordinate maintenance, vendor contracts, capital projects and ensure compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA and local regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of Community Manager experience in senior or active‑adult housing.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Real Estate or related field.
• 4‑6 years of relevant experience in property management, financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to manage teams, budgets and resident relations.
