Community Manager for Geary Courtyard

About the role

The Community Manager will oversee daily operations of the Geary Courtyard property, a 165‑unit garden‑style community in San Francisco. Reporting to senior management, you will lead the on‑site team, ensure financial targets are met, and maintain compliance with all housing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day activities of the property, including staff supervision and resource allocation.
• Develop and monitor budgets, analyze financial statements, and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Set rent rates, collect payments, process bank deposits, and ensure timely posting of fees.
• Approve vendor invoices, verify insurance certificates, and coordinate with accounting.
• Control expenditures within approved budgets and manage petty‑cash fund.
• Oversee lease enforcement, approve resident applications, discounts, renewals, and conduct periodic inspections.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other applicable laws.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience managing apartment communities in San Francisco.
• Previous role as an Apartment Manager or similar.
• Strong understanding of multi‑family housing operations and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to meet revenue targets and manage budgets.
