Community Engagement Program Manager

About the role

The International Rescue Committee’s Kansas Office for Refugees (KSOR) is seeking a Community Engagement Program Manager to lead the transition of the Refugee Support Services (RSS) program to a state‑centric model. Based in Wichita, you will work closely with senior leadership, state partners, and community stakeholders to strengthen refugee integration and support.

Key responsibilities

• Support strategic planning and implementation of the RSS program transition to the State of Kansas.
• Coordinate communication and collaboration between KSOR, state agencies, and external partners.
• Plan, organize, and facilitate stakeholder meetings, community forums, and training sessions.
• Manage outreach initiatives to ensure broad stakeholder engagement.
• Lead initiatives that connect refugees, asylees, and immigrants with community‑based resettlement resources.
• Oversee resettlement efforts for ORR‑eligible populations outside traditional service areas.

Required profile

• Proven experience in program management or community engagement within humanitarian or refugee contexts.
• Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and community groups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple events and outreach activities simultaneously.
