Community Assistant – Student Living at Breakpointe Coronado

About the role

The Community Assistant supports the property management team in achieving occupancy and resident retention goals at Breakpointe Coronado, a student‑living community. This position combines administrative, leasing, and customer‑service duties to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive resident experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform office administration tasks such as copying, filing resident files, preparing notices, handling resident calls, and organizing rent payments.
• Assist with leasing activities: conduct virtual tours, respond to online inquiries, greet and qualify prospects, lead property tours, and show apartments.
• Generate lease paperwork, organize lease files, and support move‑in and move‑out processes, including mandatory “turn” dates.
• Answer incoming calls, schedule prospect appointments, and conduct on‑campus marketing outreach to drive qualified traffic.
• Coordinate resident events, distribute communications (flyers, newsletters, surveys, late notices), and schedule resident visits.
• Serve as an after‑hours liaison, responding to emergencies and covering at least one on‑call shift per week.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer‑service skills.
• Flexibility to work mandatory move‑in/move‑out dates and on‑call shifts.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the property management team.
