Commodity Manager

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Commodity Manager to lead sourcing and procurement for specific commodity groups. Based in Austin, you will ensure cost‑effective, reliable supply chains that support our autonomous maritime solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and procurement activities for assigned commodities, building strong supplier relationships.
• Develop and execute cost‑saving strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage price structures.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with inventory and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce bottlenecks.
• Identify supply‑chain risks, create contingency plans, and mitigate disruptions.
• Work cross‑functionally with product development, engineering, operations, and finance to align commodity strategies with business goals.
• Analyze market trends, pricing, and dynamics to provide strategic recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and sustainability objectives.
• Prepare regular reports and dashboards on commodity performance, cost savings, and market conditions for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or certifications such as CPSM, APICS, CPIM are a plus).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or commodity sourcing.
