Coffee Trainer

About the role

La Colombe is seeking a Coffee Trainer to elevate the skills of our barista teams and wholesale partners across the New York market. You will act as a brand ambassador, delivering hands‑on coffee education and ensuring every cup meets our high standards of taste and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver training programs on coffee history, brewing techniques, and espresso machine maintenance.
• Collaborate with café leadership, district managers, and the national training team to schedule and run training sessions in designated labs.
• Conduct audits of drink preparation, customer service, and operational cleanliness across all locations.
• Support new menu launches and café openings by providing technical guidance and on‑site assistance.
• Collect, analyze, and report data on brewing parameters, water quality, and equipment calibration to maintain consistency market‑wide.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coffee education or barista training within a retail or wholesale environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire and mentor diverse teams.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on operational excellence and brand standards.
