Code 14 Driver

About the role

Star Retailers is urgently seeking a Code 14 Driver to join its logistics team. The role involves operating company trucks, performing daily inspections, and ensuring safe transport of goods across the designated area.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct day‑to‑day inspections of vehicles and report any faults.
• Maintain vehicle safety by adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies, and road regulations.
• Navigate routes within the assigned area and follow safe driving practices.
• Check fluid levels, tyre pressure, and other essential vehicle checks each day.
• Maintain a detailed vehicle logbook and obtain supervisor signatures as required.
• Load and off‑load various materials and equipment safely.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 certificate.
• Valid Code 14 driver’s licence with a current PDP.
• At least 3 years of relevant driving experience.
• Mounted Grab Certificate.
• Hard‑working, self‑motivated, and able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
• Strong time‑management and organisational abilities.
• Professional work approach and excellent health.
